"Thor" to be Boycotted by Council of Conservative Citizens

Not sure if anyone is aware of the new Thor film that will soon be released. Lefty Hollywood has cast one of the mythical Norse Gods as a black man. The Council of Conservative Citizens has asked that people boycott the movie in protest as they argue that Marvel are once again pushing a multi-cultural slant on a white character (as they do nowadays). Of course the liberal media has gone bananas with the UK Guardian newspaper the latest to lambaste the CofCC as "white supremacists". Naturally they miss the point and stoke up the anti-racism fires but I guess that's the usual unintelligent response from a bunch of grumpy old liberals. As for me, I have not supported Hollywood movies for a long time - I would much rather watch paint dry. In any case, here the worstpreviews website at least tries to be balanced and see the CofCC's point of view.

Idris Elba (RocknRolla, "The Wire") plays a Norse god by the name of Heimdall in Marvel's "Thor" film. Heimdall is sometimes referred to as "The White God," which is why the Council of Conservative Citizens (CofCC) is planning to boycott the movie when it hits theaters on May 6th.

The group wrote: "Norse mythology gets multi-cultural remake in upcoming movie titled 'Thor.' It's not enough that Marvel attacks conservative values, now mythological Gods must be re-invented with black skin. It seems that Marvel Studios believes that white people should have nothing that is unique to themselves. An upcoming movie, based on the comic book Thor, will give the Aesir (god) an insulting multi-cultural make-over. One of the Gods will be played by Hip Hop DJ Elba."

The way the statement is written seems quite racist. But does CofCC have a reason to be angry?

Elba recently defended the casting, stating: "Thor is mythical, right? Thor has a hammer that flies to him when he clicks his fingers. That's OK, but the color of my skin is wrong? If you know anything about the Nords, they don't look like me but there you go. I think that's a sign of the times for the future. I think we will see multi-level casting. I think we will see that, and I think that's good."

Several fans have responded by stating: "This PC crap has gone too far. Norse deities are not of an African ethnicity" and "Asgard is home to the Norse Gods. I wouldn't expect to see many Brad Pitt types walking around in the Black Panther's Wakanda Palace."

CofCC has previously called Marvel "viciously anti-white" and even "racist," pointing to the company's "Black Panther" comics which have endless evil white characters, who are murderers and rapists, and are often racist.

Marvel has history of publishing extremist “Black Power” comics.

In 1966 Marvel began a superhero known as “Black Panther.” He appeared in various comic books and graphic novels. Today Marvel co-produces an animated version of Black Panther on the Black Entertainment Channel.

The Black Panther character is explicit pro-black and the comics are viciously anti-white.

Black Panther is T’Challa, the king of a secret African nation known as Wakanda. The inhabitants of this nation keep their lands hidden from the white man so it is not “exploited” for it’s mineral wealth. T’Challa’s father is murdered by a white man who becomes Black Panther’s main enemy.

His other principal enemies are the “racist” South African government. Particularly South African Magistrate of Communications Anton Pretorius. This character kidnaps the Black Panther’s mother and sexually abuses her. Imagine for a second if any comic book depicted the same thing with the races reversed.

Black Panther is a “genius,” who has a Ph.D. in physics from Oxford. He also keeps it real by having a harem of “wives in training.” When not fighting “racist” South Africans, he comes to the USA to fight the Ku Klux Klan.

So Marvel has a history of publishing an explicitly black racial hero who fights “racist” whites, and who still appears today on an explicitly black cable network. Three months after Marvel first debuted the Black Panther, the militant Black Panther Party formed using the same name.
