Anybody who hasn't worked out that a Labor/Labour government are socialists in disguise then you're an idiot. Think of the UK and now look at Australia. The Labor government has been in power in Australia since 2007 - when they removed the very successful, but apparently 'boring', John Howard, out of office. Howard left the government with a budget surplus of over $20 bn and with well sealed borders. In came a little man called Kevin Rudd who could dazzle with his tongue (think Obama people). Australia fell for his lying and trickery and voted him in. Three years down the line and Rudd, was stabbed in the back and replaced by a fellow Labor party member, Julia Gillard, who just happens to be linked to the Union movement and the Fabian Socialists. Ms Gillard sold Australia's sole to the Greens to keep her in power at the last election, as Australia was finally waking up to what was going on. So, now the unelected Labor/Green government rules - trying to pull even more wool over the eyes of the Australian people with a brand new, economy destroying, carbon tax and other wasteful programs - all in the name of even more welfare/entitlement and redistribution of wealth. You see, Labor/Greens don't like successful people. No, we should all be the same - relying on government. Oh, it's ok to PAY taxes to them, and the more the merrier, but you have no say over how those dollars are spent. Polls may show that nearly 70% of the population are against the carbon tax, but do you think they're going to listen if it gets in the way of their big Utopian dream? Labor has wasted billions putting tax-payer funded FREE pink-bats in people's roofs to prevent global warming (4 boys died putting them in and over 150 houses burnt down) and even more billions paying back their union hacks by allowing them to build over-inflated school halls (halls the schools didn't want). So what has Labor managed to bring to Australia in the past 4 years? We're now in DEBT to the tune of nearly $190bn and rising daily - but we are not to worry about that, says the government, because if you compare us to the rest of the world then we have almost no debt. Hmmmm. Tell that to countries who don't have any debt - like Australia once didn't. But that's not all they've brought us. We're too cool the planet from a room in Canberra by adding a carbon tax soon. The government is hurriedly trying to convince voters - who already feel the pain in their utility and food bills - that this will create more jobs and you'll end up paying nothing for it as the tax will only be passed on to the big emitters! Yeah - that's how stupid they think we are. Just one thing bothers me - if a carbon tax is so good for the economy and creates jobs then why isn't the rest of the world hurriedly imposing this tax to save their economies? I mean, why wait till 2012 - just do it now so that we can have all the welfare and refugee moochers on jobs where they actually pay taxes and not suck us dry? Another thing that the compassionate Labor party did under Mr Rudd was to become even more compassionate to economic migrants refugees. Rudd did away with the temporary protection visas brought in by Howard in 2001 that allowed these 'refugees' to stay in Australia until the situation back home stabilised and then shipped them back - and no extra family was allowed. If you look at the graph below you can see the result of these visas in 2002 . No, but that wouldn't 'do! Rudd decided to make it an open border feast and now we have had nearly 7000 'refugees' arriving by boat since his compassion started, and climbing - the most ever. And now these ungrateful people have started to burn down their detention centres and riot because they're not happy. These people pay a lot to get smuggled into Australian waters - over $20 000 - so that they too can become permanent residents and live for free on the tax payers backs and bring their vast extended families into the country. At last estimate, it costs $80 000 to process one refugee - that's just the paperwork and health checks etc. That's not what it actually ends up costing the tax payer long term to support them in free housing, public transport, health (including dental), food, pensions, welfare entitlements etc. No, they and their families who have never paid a cent in tax get a free pass the rest of their lives on our backs and then they still have the audacity to break down the centres used to house them whilst undergoing checks - centres that cost millions of $$. And what does our mighty government have to say about this? Apparently, they won't tolerate it and it MIGHT impact on their asylum application. No, not - IT WILL impact - it MIGHT. Yeah Australia - the government are a bunch of do-gooder cowards, scared of their own shadows and the refugee advocate groups (including their new masters, the Greens). But, just you pay your taxes late......

Detainees at an Australian immigration detention centre in Sydney have rioted and burnt down nine buildings.
Rioters at Villawood detention centre threw roof tiles and other objects at firefighters, preventing them from putting out the blazes.
The riot started with a rooftop protest from two detainees and spread to involve 100 people late on Wednesday.
Protests at Australia's detention centres have become more frequent as the number of asylum seekers has risen.
Immigration Department spokesman Sandi Logan said no injuries had been reported at Villawood.
Riot police had to be called in to restore order after the centre's unarmed guards retreated in the face of the riot.
"It took some time for the firefighters to be able to gain entry," he said.
"They had had roof tiles and other pieces of furniture being hurled at them by some of the detainees, so it was impossible for them to extinguish the blaze.
"But with the riot squad protection they were able to do that."
A large gas cylinder exploded and a kitchen, laundry, medical facility and a computer centre were destroyed.
Immigration Minister Chris Bowen said many of those involved in the riot had had applications for asylum rejected.
"These are people, in many instances, who are not happy that they have not been accepted as refugees," he said.
Villawood detention centre holds both irregular maritime arrivals - people arriving in Australia by boat to seek asylum - and people already on the Australian mainland who have violated their visas or had them cancelled.
Mental health warning
In recent months there have been a number of violent riots, suicides and self-harm attempts at Australian detention centres, says the BBC's Nick Bryant in Sydney.
There have been complaints from detainees about overcrowding and the length of time it takes to process their applications, our correspondent says.
An increase in the number of asylum seekers arriving by boat - mainly from Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Iraq - has led to overcrowding at Christmas Island and other detention centres.
There was another riot at Christmas Island last month following a breakout.
Last year, rights group Amnesty International warned that the mental health of some of the asylum seekers held on Christmas Island was deteriorating because of uncertainty over their situation and the conditions in which they were being held.
The Australian government has recently announced the provision of more than 1,900 new beds for asylum seekers to ease crowding in detention centres.
Four hundred beds will be available in Pontville, southern Tasmania, within a month and another 1,500-bed facility at Wickham Point, Darwin, will open in mid-2011.
