USA: NO MORE GHETTO VERSION NATIONAL ANTHEMS!

Angry White Dude is angry (see his rant below under the clip) and quite rightly so. For all you folks out there who didn't hear the mutilated version of the Star-Spangled Banner that Christina Aguilera attempted to sing during the Super Bowl then you can count yourself lucky. And for the record, I agree with everything AWD says - it was embarrassing and I can safely say that Christina won't be asked back anytime soon. Not only was the National Anthem a disaster but she also managed to screw up the words!

Here’s Aguilera yodeling her disastrous version of the anthem:

America’s national anthem is a sacred song. It is not some pinhead strumpet’s chance to turn America’s national hymn into some ghetto-ized monstrosity! This happens just about any time a young female singer is asked to sing the national anthem these days. Whenever I see a young female asked to sing the national anthem, I have a pretty good suspicion I’m in for a 4 minute, gospelized, getto-ized rendition that would make Francis Scott Key pull his ears off with pliers.

Destruction of the national anthem is a disgrace. It is disrespectful to our country and those who have died defending it. There is a time for strumpets to turn one note into twelve and it is when they warble their own pathetic pop songs!! These “performers” make a mockery of something so many of us hold sacred.

Christina Aguilera murderized the national anthem before the Super Bowl today. She sounded like some yodeling cow from Harlem. Worse than all the nasal warbling, she couldn’t even get the words right! Shame on the NFL for putting pathetic pop star Christina Aguilera in front of millions worldwide and allowing her to trash our national anthem. I’m sure she’s a big hit with teenage females of both sexes who can name numerous brands of hair and beauty products. Let them buy Aguilera’s warbling trash.

Here’s the deal. If you can’t sing the national anthem the way it is written without getting the words wrong or ghetto-izing it, just don’t sing it. Let someone else do it who can sing it right. Christina Aguilera is now a laughing stock (even more than she was) and should stick to singing her rancid brand of pop trash.
