At last - the reason unveiled why Black South African learners do poorly at maths and science

The MEC for Education, Senzo Mchunu, attended the  awards for academic achievements in the iLembe district in February this year. The district's pass rate has risen miraculously to 69%, a 9.6% increase on previous year's results (must be something in the water and couldn't possibly be because they marked all the papers up nationally). According to Mr Mchunu, the current government has set a high standard for education (where's the barf bag?) and the government was working on the positive and negative points of the education system (I guess more negative than positives?). However, what really does show you what complete idiots and fools the ANC government is, are the last two paragraphs of the article (enlarged below). Mr Mchunu said that both maths and science had low pass rates and guess why? Because Verwoed made the subjects too difficult as he thought the Blacks would be a threat to him! For my overseas readers, Mr Hendrik Verwoed was the Prime Minister of South Africa from 1958 until his assassination in 1966. Yes people -this is how dim and slow-minded these "leaders" are - they are STILL blaming a man who died nearly 50 years ago, for the dismal performance of today's Black children in maths and science in South Africa. Not only that, but Mr Verwoerd was so genius as to make maths and science so difficult that Blacks still can't pass the subjects today. Hey Mr Mchunu - how about you take the White man's maths and science voodoo and re-write it to the ANC level of understanding (please ignore any actual science or real maths in your quest) and let the Black kids learn your version of the subjects. After all, those evil White racists, hau! They make it too hud to len. Gee my krag.
